Console Connect’s new Mplify LSO API certification has delivered measurable business, technical, and industry-wide impact.
Industry Challenge
Like most service providers, Console Connect relied heavily on proprietary APIs for partner integrations. These custom-built interfaces often create friction, delivering inconsistent partner experiences, prolonging onboarding cycles, and consuming significant resources with each new connection.

At the same time, enterprise customers were demanding open standards and seamless interoperability to meet global, multi-cloud, and multi-metro requirements. In this environment, no single provider could deliver on-demand services alone. Standardized collaboration became not just preferable but essential.
Solution
To address these challenges, Console Connect, the fully automated Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform from PCCW Global, became the first service provider to achieve Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) API certification through the newly expanded Mplify LSO API Certification Program, which establishes the industry’s benchmark for standardized, automated service delivery. It is the first initiative to verify that open LSO APIs used for automated, multi-provider service delivery meet established conformance and interoperability standards.
By eliminating the need for costly, custom partner integrations, Mplify’s LSO API certification program enables operators to work together using the same standardized APIs, ensuring production-ready interoperability for both buying and selling scenarios. This trusted, third-party validation removes a major barrier to automation and provides the foundation for delivering on-demand, cloud-like services that define the NaaS model. This approach also enables direct, peer-to-peer interconnect between service providers, eliminating the need for intermediaries such as brokers or API aggregators and fostering more efficient, scalable collaboration.
Working closely with Mplify and Amartus, the accredited test partner, Console Connect tested four LSO Business APIs – Address Validation, Quote, Product Order and Product Inventory. As the first provider through the program, they collaborated to validate test specifications, iterate on requirements, and shape a methodology that will allow others to certify more quickly in the future.
Rather than rebuilding its proprietary APIs, Console Connect took a pragmatic approach. The team developed and deployed an open-source LSO Adaptor Tool, a low-code interface that maps existing proprietary APIs to Mplify’s standardized LSO Business APIs. This approach preserved internal systems while meeting certification requirements.
Business Outcomes and Industry Impact
Console Connect’s achievement of Mplify’s LSO API certification has delivered measurable business, technical, and industry-wide impact. Standards-based APIs have simplified partner onboarding by cutting integration complexity and enabling faster, more reliable partner connections. Certification has also expanded the reach of Console Connect’s Edge Port service by attracting new service provider partnerships across the globe.
Equally important, the certification elevated Console Connect’s market position. As the first provider to be certified, the company is now recognized not just as a network operator but as a technology leader in programmable, standards-based networking. By making its certified LSO Adaptor Tool publicly available, Console Connect has further lowered the barrier for ecosystem-wide adoption offering other providers a ready-made path toward certification without requiring costly re-engineering. Beyond certification, this milestone lays the groundwork for a federated ecosystem of carriers – one where service providers can seamlessly collaborate across a wide array of offerings, including Carrier Ethernet, Internet, SD-WAN, SASE, and cybersecurity.
Key Takeaways
Console Connect’s certification demonstrates production-grade interoperability across both buying and selling scenarios. For service providers, it proves that automation can be achieved without the heavy cost and complexity of one-off integrations. For enterprises, it means faster onboarding, more consistent service delivery, and confidence that partners can work together seamlessly.
The initiative also shows how open standards accelerate collaboration across the ecosystem. By reducing integration costs and speeding time-to-market, certified APIs help providers compete more effectively while delivering more flexible services to customers. The availability of reusable tools, such as the open-source LSO Adaptor Tool, extends these benefits even further, giving others a straightforward way to meet certification requirements without starting from scratch.
Most importantly, Console Connect demonstrates how early adopters can shape the industry itself. By leading with certification and contributing reusable tools back to the community, the company has not only advanced its own capabilities but also influenced the trajectory of global automation. In doing so, it has gained credibility, visibility, and a competitive edge that others will struggle to match.
Get Involved
The Mplify LSO API Certification Program is a catalyst for seamless, multi-provider automation across the global connectivity ecosystem. Service providers can pursue certification to validate interoperability and gain recognition in Mplify’s public LSO API Registry, ensuring they are visible to enterprises seeking automation-ready partners. Enterprises, in turn, can request certified providers to guarantee faster onboarding and consistent service experiences across multiple networks.
By engaging with Mplify, whether through certification, adoption of open-source tools, or enterprise demand for certified partners, participants help drive global adoption of standardized automation. The result is reduced integration friction, greater trust across the ecosystem, and a future where interoperable network services are the norm rather than the exception.
